What to Expect

A safe, welcoming environment for anyone and everyone regardless of where you are on your faith journey. We are a church of imperfect people who are journeying together to follow Jesus.

We gather to celebrate who God is and what God has done through singing, prayer, reading scriptures, practical teaching from God’s word, and receiving communion together.

Each service lasts about 70 minutes.

If you have young children you are free to keep them in service with you or you can drop them off at City Kids. We offer safe, clean, age appropriate classes for children 6 weeks through 5th grade. The goal of our City Kids environments is to create an interactive, fun filled place where faith discovery and development can occur. About Us

City Church launched in June 2023 as the result of a merger between two churches, Covenant Life Assembly and Genesis Church. The leadership of both churches believed they could be more faithful to God and better serve the city TOGETHER than apart.

Covenant Life Assembly has been serving the city of Moore for 28 years, and Genesis Church for 12 years.  Because the leadership of both churches believes the CHURCH exists to HONOR God, EMPOWER people, and SERVE the city, they decided to link arms and do so TOGETHER.  Our heart at City is to be a safe place for people to explore a relationship with God, cultivate a thriving faith, build life giving relationships, and serve in meaningful ways.

Randy Morgan

Co-Executive Pastor

Randy and Jaycene Morgan have been in ministry since Jesus was a toddler.  After working with students for ten years, they moved to Moore to found Covenant Life Assembly in 1995. Jaycene is a speech pathologist and has served the kids at Central Elemntary since 1988 and still finds great fulfillment in teaching.  The Morgans love to spend time with their son, Ryan who is a teacher and coach at Bethany High School, his wife Katrina, who is an ER nurse, and their grandchildren, Emma and Rigley, both geniuses.

Randy and Jaycene are loving the experience of forging new friendships since merging with Genesis Church in 2023 to become City Church. For fun, Jaycene spends her free time crafting while Randy loves reading, golf, and mocking politicians.

Brian has been married to Serena Ramey since 2003. Together they have 3 daughters, Audra, Ashton, & Allie. They also have a dog named Jazz. They love the outdoors, travel, Razorback sports, and watching their girls do their things!

Brian served in local church youth ministry for 12 years before planting Genesis Church in Moore in 2011. After an incredible 12 year run at Genesis, Brian led Genesis to merge with Covenant Life Assembly in June 2023, forming what is now City Church.

Brian has a passion to see people encounter Jesus, experience community, and give themselves to something bigger than them.

Austin works as a software engineer in addition to his role at City Church.

The two ordinances are water baptism (immersion) and the Lord's Supper (communion), symbols of salvation and remembrance.

A separate experience following conversion, where believers receive the Holy Spirit's empowering presence.

8. The Initial Physical Evidence of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit:

The initial sign of being baptized in the Holy Spirit is often speaking in tongues.

9. Sanctification:

A progressive process of separation from sin and dedication to God, a life of holiness.

10. The Church and Its Mission:

The Church is the body of believers, called to spread the Gospel and build up believers.
