Who We Are
At City Church we are passionate about helping ordinary people experience the extraordinary life that Jesus offers. We take Jesus at His word when he says in Matthew 10:10, "I have come that you may have life and have it to the full."

We are guided by 3 primary values:
-
Love God
-
Love Others
-
Serve the City

Everything we do at City is designed to help you:
-
Deepen Devotion
-
Develop Community
-
Do Something that makes a Difference

We believe that authentic faith is lived out, not just through head-knowledge of theological truths, but through personal experience with the Living God.

About Us
City Church launched in June 2023 as the result of a merger between two churches, Covenant Life Assembly and Genesis Church. The leadership of both churches believed they could be more faithful to God and better serve the city TOGETHER than apart.
Covenant Life Assembly had been serving the city of Moore for 28 years, and Genesis Church for 12 years. Because the leadership of both churches believes the CHURCH exists to HONOR God, EMPOWER people, and SERVE the city, they decided to link arms and do so TOGETHER. Our heart at City is to be a safe place for people to explore a relationship with God, cultivate a thriving faith, build life giving relationships, and serve in meaningful ways.

What We Believe
1. GOD
We believe in one God eternally existing as one essence and three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, each of whom is fully God, yet there is one God.

2. REVELATION
God has made Himself known to the world in Jesus Christ, the Scriptures, and creation.

3. CREATION AND PROVIDENCE
We believe that God created the world from nothing and governs all things at all times in all places.

4. HUMANITY
We believe that all humanity is created in the image of God and possesses intrinsic dignity and worth.

5. SIN
We believe that sin has fractured all things, leaving the world in desperate need of salvation.

6. SALVATION
We believe that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.

7. CHURCH
We believe that the Church is the body of Christ sent into the world to shine forth the glory of God.

8. HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the infilling of the Holy Spirit for the work of sanctification and the empowerment for ministry and witness.

9. RESURRECTION & FULFILLMENT OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD
We believe that Jesus Christ is returning to the world in the future to judge the living and the dead.

In unity with all Christian churches everywhere, we believe the Apostles', Nicene, and Chalcedonian Creeds as accurate representations of Scripture's teaching.
